Costco now selling DVX.

Everyone is selling the DVX100. I went to ebay and looked yesterday. There are so many new DVX100b's for sale. DVX100a's too.

What's the deal. Is no one buying them or just alot of people try to have camera stores? Does anyone see a price drop coming?

The price is about the same as B&H.

The main advantage of buying from Costco, I suppose, would be the generous return policy. Also, "executive" members get a 2% kickback.

yeah, as long as you keep the box, and all the components, you can return this FOR ANY REASON a decade after purchase, if I didn't already have one, that's where i'd get it

Assuming you want to et the $400 rebate, you have to cut out the UPC, Serial ...etc. I dont think Costco will allowed you to return the cam with a those info missing on the box.

yesssss

yesssss

anyone wanna buy my dvx100a? because im gunna go to costco and buy one..
you dont need a warrenty.. costco is the warrenty.. i love it

It's nice that Costco now sells this camera. Now I'm looking at purchasing one of these soon and have seen some stores online selling them for $2000...what gives? The sites say these are brand new so how come they can charge so little for this camera? Where is the "catch"?

Thanks
Oldboy

Those 'too good to be true' deals are scams. For some reason, scam artists seem to thrive on electronics sales.

You might be able to save a couple hundred bucks buying a 'grey market' DVX, but you'll have no warranty, rebate, etc.

If I were shopping for a new DVX, I'd buy it from Costco with complete confidence. I hope they start offering the HVX.

I'd rather eat the $400 and pony up for barry's book, and get the ability to return my DVX for a full refund because I hit with a hammer.

I bet Costco would honor its return policy even if you process the rebate. After all, they are advertising the $400 rebate on their site.

but i think you would get your money back minus the $400 rebate money. Otherwise, people would go buy the cam, get the $400 rebate and return the cam to Costco because "they originally thought it was a pencil sharpener ".

Yeah I figured these prices were just too good, for example check out this one at USAphotonation.com:

http://www.usaphotonation.com/products.asp?product_id=12449

Tha price is literally ridiculous. Another price that seems less fishy but still too low is the following:

http://www.bestpricecameras.com/352090-312314-1-agdvx100B,dvx100b,ag-dvx100b,ag%20dvx100B--PANASONIC-AG-DVX100B.html?OVRAW=dvx100b&OVKEY=dvx100b&OVMTC=standard

Are these just great deals from resellers agressively undercutting each other or did these cameras fall of the truck :D...because at these prices it's getting hard to pay an extra 1500 just for a bigger store. Advice please!

Beware. You'll end up paying for it in the long run from these sketchy dealers. I'd have no problem buying any electronic item from Costco as others have mentioined. See this sticky:

Awesome Price on the DVX-100B

Awesome Price on the DVX-100B

I just spoke with Tommy Mack at evsonline.com in CA and he quoted me a DVX-100B for $3399, a great price!
Plus he has a great tripod deal!
Tommy is a nice guy too, and honest so far.

After looking at tons of video footage, the DVX100B with a 35mm adapter and uncompressed 480P editing gives the best bang for the buck.

I also called Broadway Photo in NY and they SAID the cameras they sell are NON-US models ane do not come with a US warranty. Way too risky in my opinion. Stick with EVS or Roscor, these seem like good sellers with solid price matching efforts.
