Trying to import media
Actually I can see and play all the media on "P2CMS".

When I'm in FCP 5.1.4 I can import most of the media... but there are several clips that look like they're going to import and then after a few seconds a red exclamation mark icon appears and there is a message that says "clip idled"... (there is no other explanation).

Can anyone help?

FCP sometimes does this. Try unclicking the "remove duplicate frames" checkbox... rest assured there is *nothing* wrong with your files. They are not corrupt. It's just a quirk of FCP. If you want to never have to face this again, don't use "log & transfer"; instead get Raylight or Calibrated's MXF plug-in or MXF4QT and you'll always and forever be able to use all your footage instantly.

Thanks Barry.
I ended up downloaded a 200$ program (P2 Log Pro) before I read your post, but they seem like similar programs. Anyway it worked flawlessly. I was able to open up the footage in FCP. I don't understand why apple can't seem to get it together.

cheers,
Michael
