Corrupt file message on FCP import. Help?

Hey folks,
Well, I have read the stickies and combed through all the relevant posts and I still can't seem to figure this problem out.
I keep getting the "One or more p2 clips failed to import; probably corrupt file or incomplete clip."

Thing is, it worked for a few clips a couple days ago. Now nothing seems to get into FCP.

I'm working with FCP 5.1, using a Duel Adapter to import clips from a 16G E-Series card. I am working with a brand new HVX200a, so I shouldn't need the firmware upgrade for the E-series card. And as I said, everything worked a couple days ago.

I write protect the card before inserting it, and use P2CMS, a version I just downloaded, to import the clips. The file folders don't have any asterisks or strange characters that would confuse the system.

I don't know what to do.

I have a gig next week where I will be shooting out of a helicopter, which was a costly rental, as you can imagine. I really need to establish some confidence in this workflow before that shoot!

Is there a new version of the P2 driver? Though I recently installed P2CMS, I last installed the p2 driver on this computer a year ago to grab some clips off of a P2 Store.

Suggestions?

The closest I could come in Barry's suggestions was to upgrade to a new version of FCP. I think we have version 6 here somewhere, but I have some critical projects running on this computer and don't want to rock the boat while everything else is working and compatible.

Thanks for any help!

Still not working

Still not working

Just installed the latest p2 driver and it's still not working.
Could it be the settings in FCP?

OK, ok

OK, ok

Well, I have this working fine now. I created a new FCP project in the same folder as the Contents folder and was able to import clips properly.

What are the restrictions on importing clips from remote folders, relative to the project file?

Anyway, now I am cutting some overcrank shots of surfers carving turns on overhead waves at Steamer Lane. Awesome.
