copying p2 to dvd

I know someone here's workflow includes burning the clips on the p2 to dvd as backup, while shooting.

Do you just drag drop and burn? Or something else?

On a Mac you drag, drop, burn, all on the desktop, no additional software. Not sure about Windows workflow. Other problem is getting all that data to fit on a CD. Well, if you're using 4GB P2 cards it works. Not so for 8GB or FS-100.

8 GB P2 cards backing up to dual layer DVD is working great for me. Burn speed is only 2.4x, but always nice to have a backup on disc to file away.

Thanks ThePhage,
I've been wondering about 8GB to DVD myself. I didn't think about the fact that I couldn't make backups of my 8GB P2s on my 17"Powerbook until after I had them. I'd have to upgrade my DVD drive to dual layer, but that's not too bad a cost. (around $150 I've seen)
