Over the course of a couple of months, whenever we had a chance to work on it, the ad agency/design firm I work for, Coudal Partners, put together this little short, "Copy Goes Here". Shot with both a DVX100 with the anamporphic lens and an XL2.

That was great! I loved it!

My favorite part was "How many fingers am I holding up?" - "Damn."

Truly inventive and professionally done in all aspects.

Thanks for sharing it,

Chris

Hey, glad you enjoyed it. It's really a big mix between the two cameras. The outdoor stuff at the opening is the XL2, but then the indoor of the intro is all DVX. The long lunch scene is all the DVX. Other than that, it's a jumble. I actually prefered the footage we got with the Panasonic, as it seemed a lot more crisp and clean. But that could be that the XL2 was new to us, so we were kind of learning the ropes with it as we were shooting.

Loved it! The room with all the post-it notes was great.

I do really wonder how wide spread this sort of thing is in advertising. It would certainly explain a lot of the ads I have seen.

That was great! Thanks for sharing.

The directing was fantastic!!! The V.O was by far the weakest aspect. I laughed out loud over the "lorem ipsum" resume...that was ****in hysterical. Incredible job overall, some areas (the windows, etc..) were way overblown, but what do I know anyways.

Good job, and thanks again for sharing.

I also liked the "bastards" line at the end. "lets just focus all our energies and lets learn to read!" haha, what a crazy concept. A business with illiterate employees. Like mentioned before, I noticed the windows in the group meeting were a big blown out, but other than that, the whole thing looked great. A :)

you wouldnt happen to be any of those guys would you? But hilarious, what great office humor. Def a great idea for what to do in free times, by the way I did notice a metra train up there. Where are you located in illinois? I live in Evanston, Ilinois

Hey, thanks for all the good words about the film. It was a blast to work on and we're thrilled that the reaction has been so positive. It was a great way to waste some time.

As for the blown out windows, that was kinda the goal of those shots. Our studio has these gigantic windows and is a huge open space. So we thought that might be a cool way to convey the exanpase of that room. Also, I suppose if you want to get deep about it, it's a nice way of protraying that the stuff outside those walls were bright and optimistic, whereas everything inside was kind of a closed-system. I don't know. I think we just liked the way it looked.

As for where we are, we're in the West Loop of Chicago, over by Grand and Racine. Right near the Fulton Market area. Great views of the city.

Thank GOD someone knows how to pick a good narrator. One that can... actually... narrate.

Very professional. Great stuff!
