Hey guys,
I have about 20 minutes of footage on an FS-100 in the Raw DV (<name>.dv) format, and I need to get it into Avid Xpress Pro. Of course just importing the files yields the "What Codec Is This!?" blank white video for all the clips.
I found a DV File Converter program from Focus, which I assumed would work since they also make the FS-100. I converted the files using this program (the demo version, but I don't see any restrictions) to P2 formatted .mxf files, but upon loading them into Avid I get the video with a very heavy digital 'block' distortion.
So how on earth do I get a raw DV file into Avid when not even the conversion program from the makers of the hard drive can properly convert the image?
