Continuous power solution

I'm going to be making a cross country trip this summer and I would like to set the GH1 up in my hatch to catch time lapses the entire way. I could do it with my little panasonic SD100, but I'd rather get the quality of the GH1 since I have it, plus I can shoot full-res photo's instead of strictly video.

ANYWAYS, having a tough time finding a solution for continuously powering the gh1, there's a rubber stopper outside the battery compartment so I assume there was atleast plans for a battery with a cord attatched to it. Anyone have a solutions for this?
 
the GH1 comes with an AC adapter - hook that up to an inverter powered by your car and you're right to go
 
Gotta love hidden compartments... haha had the camera for a few months now and didnt find that cord! thanks a lot
 
Not sure if that was sarcasm or not.. if not, your minds waaaay in the gutter. hatch of my car, I'm driving a GTI out there.
