This video contains shots of a fifties era Constellation. This particular airplane was a radar plane believed to be used by the CIA and this type of plane was also the first Air Force One. This plane is massive, the engines sit approximately ten feet off the ground.



Some of these shots were used in a previous video called "Amused to Death." A couple of people asked if I had enough footage to produce an entire video for the "Connie."

Anyway, if your into airplanes I hope you enjoy this.
 
The crane was a hybrid of a DIY and an expensive jib I purchased at EVS. It extends to 12 feet, which I used all of it for this shoot. Its pretty good for a 7D size camera, but probably not so much for anything bigger.

This was one of the first things I shot after getting the 7D and all I had was the kit lens with a polarizer. I really could have used a faster lens but was quite surprised at well the kit lens did.
