Constant 2.8 zoom

Can we expect Panasonic or Olympus to release a lens equivalent to the 28-70 2.8 Canon?

Meaning 14-35 2.8?

This would be the perfect lens for general use with the AF100 and would sell like crazy.

Olympus already has a 14-35 2.0.

Who knows what else they may introduce?

No reason they couldn't, I imagine. If they made it a stop slower it could cost less than it does. Part of why the Olympus is $1800 is because it's f/2 instead of f/2.8.

There's plenty of cheap zoom lenses out there that can be adapted to m43rds. The one thing missing is native m43rds fast zooms. I'll gladly pay extra for f/2 in a native m43rds zoom, with "HD" level autofocus and automatic lens correction.

I'd be all over those olympus lenses if they had OIS. So much of my work requires hand held, OIS is a requirement, so that leaves me only with the panasonic lenses. Here's to hoping they'll make some higher end lenses.

Yes. It does. But the camera is still pretty small so if you really want smooth handheld, a shoulder brace is the way to go. Unbelievably helpful, you can put in as much or as little of the "handheld look."

Video Innovators, B&H sells a kit with the handle to lock it up against your chest for like $100.

Got my hands on the Olympus 14-35/2.0
Very hefty lens. A bit of friction on the focus ring.
Wish it was closer to $1200, but is is fast!
