Connecting SD302 to TASCAM HD-P2

Ok, I've seen a diagram somewhere on how to properly wire this custom cable? I tried the Search button on the top, but no dice.

What is the proper way to do this? I have a friend that has a soddering kit. Can I use the same RCA cable with the other end stripped off, or would a better wire gauge help?

Three pins: Ch1 positive, Ch2 positive, and common ground. The RCA ends will each take one of the positive feeds (to the center pin) and the common ground (to the collar).

I'm feeding the Tascam line level (+4 dBu) from an SQN mixer with the pads engaged on the Tascam's inputs, don't know if that's how it's supposed to be but I never had any issues in terms of sound quality. I know how it sounds when for instance you feed the camera's mic inputs with line level and dial gain to min, meters tell you you're good but you get a crunchy/distorted sound. I can affirm there's none of that. I set the Tascam at ref = -12 dBFS (the SQN's limiters kick in at +7 dBu) and the gain is in between 2 and 3.

I have to add that the SQN's line outputs are transformer balanced as opposed to the SD's transformerless outputs which might make a difference (or not, I really don't know to be honest).
