Greetings all,

This is my first post in this side of the user tracks (former DVX100B owner), so I'm excited! Even more exciting is I finished my first commercial shoot using a HVX200A/Brevis35 combo that I recently purchased. Of course there were challenges, but overall it was a great and fun experience that I know I'll learn from and apply to my next shoot.

Shot using HVX200A at 60 FPS and a 1/60th shutter, Brevis35 with a 50mm and 85mm Nikon lense. Edited and color corrected in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 using simple levels, contrast and brightness and hue/saturation filters. It was a 2 hour shoot here in Greensboro, N.C. This will be aired in a few places to promote awareness and action against the atrocities taking place in the Congo. They wanted something with a little shock value to it, so we created the story of a small village Congolese man minding his own business at a nearby waterfall when an enemy soldier approaches and prepares to attack the man, unprovoked (much like most of the violence taking place in the Congo right now).

Only issues we had was the mobility of using such a combo (we had FF, mattebox, monitor, etc on it as well). First time experience using an adapter and lenses is an incredible feeling as well as a change in style of shooting. We had some trouble keeping focus sharp, and the water prohibited some of the shots we had hoped to get...but overall good stuff!

Also, it turns out that water had some type of leech creature that was stuck all on the hands and feet of our actor. Eitherway, the clients loved it

Feedback greatly appreciated!
