GH3 Confused about GH3 and Speed booster

I have a question regarding the speed booster for M4/3 cameras. I have a GH3, and would like to keep the M43 mount with the speed booster attached, since I have different lenses with different mounts such as Nikon, Minolta, and M4/3 mount. I have separate lens mounts for these lenses so it would be perfect if I could mount a speed booster with a M4/3 mount at the end, and on that simply attach my lenses with their M43 adapter. Hope you understand what I'm trying to do here :)

I can only imagine how awesome my Nokton 25mm 0.95 would be with a speed booster on it!

Is this possible at all or do I need to sell my lenses and only buy lenses with say a Nikon mount or whatever mount I choose on the speed booster?

It can't be done. It is do with the flange focal distance of each mount system. You will probably need to get the Canon speedbooster and use it with adapters if you use multiple systems. The only reason that lenses can be adapted is because those with a larger FFD can be mounted in front of the bodys flange. You can't go MFT to MFT because it is the same distance. You can go Nikon to MFT because there is sufficient room between where the back lens element sits from the sensor to put an adapter in between. By the same token you can't adapt an MFT lens to a Nikon body.

Thanks for the reply man!

Okay so I simply have to take off the adapter each time I want to use the Nokton, not a big deal. So if I get a M43 to Canon speed booster, I could use my Nikon glass by using a Canon to Nikon mount? And still get a wider image even if the lens is further away due to an extra adapter in between the lens and speed booster?

Restoring the flange distance is to allow lenses to focus to infinity, or simply, to work as intended. Nothing to do with FoV equivalence.

Perfect! Then I will go this route: [GH3] + [ SB M4/3 to Canon mount] + [Canon to whatever mount the lens needs]

Minolta MD to Canon FD is very likely to be impossible, since the difference in flange distance is very small (1.2mm). You better check if the adapters you want are available first before you buy the Speed Booster.

Stacking adapters is not recommended. It is technically possible, but you're dealing with very tight tolerances. A small variance with a single adapter might not cause a huge issue, but multiple stacked adapters with the slightest issues could result in an usable setup.

Also, there is no Canon EF Speed Booster for the GH3 (yet).
