GH2 Confused about crop factor

Hey guys, I just bought a GH2 and all this crop factor stuff has me confused. If I wanted to replicate a 50mm lens on a Super35 film camera (not still), what focal length should I get for a M4/3 lens? What about for a Canon EF/FD lens?

Its also not exactly a 2x crop, btw. Its about the same as the Canons are in film mode, ie. 1.8x.

Remember, the Canons letterbox crop the sensor when in video mode, which takes their 1.6 down to something closer to 1.8. Really the Canon is only 1.6 when it comes to stills. And everyone keeps saying the Canons shoot roughly APS-C sized video, so why would the GH2 be any different?
