So i'm going to the beach this week and does anyone know if the salt air will affect the camera? I just got it and don't want to do any harm to it. Thanks!

Honestly, if it's a paid job, I always rent (when going to the beach or a dirty location), but if it's just an outing with your family/friends/GF or whatever, then you can use your camera, just becareful no one kicks a chuck of sand onto it. Sand and salt in the air won't affect it, just make sure you give it a good cleaning when you get home.

t2i is not weather sealed like 7d

the only canon lenses that are weather sealed are the L series

I would think and plan carefully

Okay, well I only have the kit lens as of right now. So I guess I'm good to go.
And it's a vacation.
