Today, both my Mac's stopped recognizing the T2i when I plugged in the interface cable to download images. The camera is six months old, and taken maybe 2000 pics. I've exclusively been using the a/v port and interconnect cable to take pictures and videos off the camera. I'm afraid I may have damaged the female a/v port on the camera, as it now may feel a little loose when the cable is plugged in. I have two cables and two computers and I've tried all combinations. Anyone else had a similar experience? I will buy a card reader today, but I'd like to have the ability to use the interface cable again.
EDIT: I've rebooted both computers, powered the camera off and on, swapped batteries, removed and reinserted the memory card, and even changed lenses. Still no luck. Maybe when my card reader arrives, I'll update the firmware to see if that helps (currently running original version 1.0.6). I better start researching the warranty too--Purchased at B&H.
EDIT: I sent the camera to Canon. They fixed it for free as per the one year warranty. They even cleaned it up and installed the new firmware. I just had to pay shipping one direction.
