Strong Machine is a beauty supply importer, this clip is made with a Panasonic HMC40, Edited with Premiere
Also used some Lowel DP and Omni lights. Most of the color correction with Magic bullet

That looks quite nice. Could I ask what camera settings were used? True, that's only a small part of the equation, but I am curious.

Mostly speeds 1/60 to 1/120 , Most of the time between 0 gain and 6 gain, Manual white balance, Almost always manual focus, but some times using the auto touch screen focus or one press auto foco
1080 30p, Scene: Cine gamma type V, Matriz color cine, DRS 2, Detail -3, Color level plus 1, Noise detail +2

Did you de-noise any of the footage in post? DRS 2 usually produces more noise than I would like, but your commerical looks pretty clean.

Yes DRS add noice, but the Cine gamma type V is less noisy than type D, It holds with very little noise up to 16-18 db gain, and the dynamic range wins over adding some extra lighting
Didn't use a de-noise by it self but into Magic bullet there is a tool named Cosmo that softens the skins, giving a much more flattery look.
For sure the capture is very important but just as important as a post production work.

Nice one Felipe!!

It's still an awesome and much under-rated camera..I have two HMC82's ..same insides but shoulder mount PAL with XLR ..I sold them and bought AC-130's, was horribily disappointed after 3 months and sold the fancy 130's and bought another pair of HMC's!!
They are pretty hard to beat and have an outstanding iris range too!! Yean the lady is a bit of alright too!!!

Thank you Chris, Yes I think is a camera that I'll like to stay with me for ever, Pretty women are nice to watch but not to live with, Believe me

Hi Felipe
I figured that buying the new and highly acclaimed AC-130 at twice the price of our cameras was a step in the right direction!! It wasn't!! The AutoFocus is awful and in autoiris the camera only changes iris not shutter and auto-ND like the HMC40!! You have to manually switch in ND filters even if a cloud moves across the sun!! Even in full manual you are constantly switching ND's!!! The bigger 1/3rd chips also made far less difference than I expected!! I have no issues with our 1/4" chips and I still think the Leica lenses on our cameras have a lot more WOW factor than the Panasonic 23X lens on the 130....I know what to stay with now...I actually wanted to grab an extra HMC40 here but for some reason my dealer has taken them off his price list?? They are still current in the USA but the PAL models seem to have disappeared.

Chris

Chris, Yes Some people at You tube has comment About the AC-130 Problems, I guess since I don't have it that the zoom 22x is too much.
Leica glass shines, However my wide angle adapter from Panasonic seems to be a very good glass. Feels good to know there is a Leica glass in your camera any way.
Personally I'll remain with this line of Panasonic cameras, I mean if there is a HMC50 for example would add it to my kit for sure.
Is already 3 years since the HMC40 was born. I don't see a Pal model in USA for the HMC40, However the HMC80 is available at BH

Personally find gorgeous the HMC80.

Hi Felipe

I really love my HMC82's (same as the 80 but a PAL camera) The audio with XLR is really good too. They are heavy!! 3.2kg with a battery and receivers but I have use shoulder mount cams since I started video 22 years ago so they feel natural for me..I also use a spring rod on a mini ballhead from just under the lens down to a waist belt..that makes for handheld shots that are as good as tripod ones!! Yeah if Panasonic come out with an HMC50 or HMC90..I want one!!! I'd like however to have a smaller camera for the stedicam as the 80 is a bit heavy to balance ...that's why I was looking to get a PAL 40 but sadly we have none here!! I was also thinking about using an AC7 but I'm worried it only has a single chip!! It's a lot lighter than the 80..only 1.8kg!!

AC7 HAS ONLY 1 chip, Only 60i, 17 MBS NOT 24 LIKE HMC40, Panasonic Lens not Leica, Not progressive, Not 60P, No lanc control, Not XLR, has not Scene modes like those in HMC40, like cine gamma , or DRS,
And not many many other tools.
I'll wait for the HMC50 or 90

What's up with going from the ambiance music to the "strong machine" trumpets?! Hilarious!!!!!
Nothing like spanish TV/commercials!!!

I watched your video a second time and it hit me, "Strong Machine" is an English phrase, not Spanish. I'm surprised that they didn't use a Spanish phrase like, "Máquina Fuerte".

Yes Bob the name of the company is Strong Machine, I guess is because as Importers that they are , they want to show with its name that they bring machines from overseas.
Is very common here Companies using names in English, as well as restaurants, or even people with English names despite that they are born here.
Not only here , that happens all around Latin America.
Any way you could call it lack of identity .
