No, we're deep in the edit to get to a rough cut, but there'll be lots of tweaking to do plus the music side will be it's own challenge as well.
We're really happy with the way it's playing out at the moment though but we've still got a lot of work to do.
We'll be putting out a mix tape soon though...it will feature a little bit from artists involved in the movie but also a good mix of Hip-Hop otherwise as well.
Hopefully some press will come through soon as well.

Seems you got an Honorable Mention.
We played at this fest and got an Honorable Mention for Best Short back in 2008.
Too bad they didn't screen it but at least they did recognize you. Congratulations.

Weird to get an honorable mention. I guess because we weren't the premiere, they decided not to show the movie. But that's cool. I'll have to send them a thank you and add them to the marketing items. Wow! I'm really excited now, cause we got some praise. Thanks for sharing. I doubt I would have found out otherwise. Go Fig?

It's Official - "Coming Correct" is the WINNER of "BEST COMEDY" from the San Diego Black Film Festival 2010. Congrats to the Cast and Crew for a Job Well Done. We also won Honorable Mention from the Texas Black Film Festival 2010! www.sdbff.com www.texasblackfilmfestival.com
It took a while for them to let us know we won. In fact we thought we had lost because we didn't get an award at the banquet - come to find out there was a mixup and now we're the winners. Go fig? Heck I'm just happy. :beer:

Right now we're on a role with your film (Coming Correct) hitting all the festivals, R.L.'s movie (Champion Road) getting closer to its release, and Kely's trailer (Kerberos) stir up lots of activity and praise along with little ol' Battle trailer (and mixtape coming soon --> Plug) we're putting in work in the independent feature film division. I'll bet there is at least one actor or crew person in common with all our projects too (haven't verified but I'm assuming I'm right) which shows how small a town ATL still is in terms of film community and yet sometimes we still can't get it all together
(but we will)Anyway, I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more festival news from you soon too.

But I think that's the whole thing. It's like I told you, all Atlanta needs is 6 strong production companies that produce features at a decent pace, and we'll have the recognition we need and Atlanta will start to grow. We already have Tyler Perry and Rainforest. All we need now is 4 new companies to come up and go A-list and Atlanta will be the official Hollywood of the Southeast! :happy:

LOL - I appreciate it. I just want all the ATL-iens to do well. The more buzz ATL brings the better it is for all of us.
