combining 1080 24p and 720 60p slowmotion?

So This is probably a stupid question but I read the T2i and 7d has video mode of 1080 -24p , but only has 720 for 60p. Lets say I wanted to make a video with slow motion shooting at 60p and doing the 40% conversion to make it 24p. However this leaves me with non slowmotion in 1080p and my slowmotion video in 720p. Do you downconvert the 1080? Is there a better setting on this camera to do this with? I'm lost
 
Well you have two options that are pretty straight forward. You can downsample the 1080p or upsample the 720p. Theres not really anything more can you do on camera to help you with the decision. There's no wrong decision but logically, the camera (7D and T2i) both resolve slightly more than 720p so a lot of the 1080p frame is just fluff.
