Color grading the F35

Thanks big Mitch, is aces similar to the colorspace transform plugin in openfx on resolve? I have been watching some tutorials in that for log footage? Cheers ��

Yea aces is a colorspace. Colorspace transform will take your slog footage and bring it into aces. You can also set it in the color management setting so you dont have to do that for every clip

In Reaolve CST sgamut/slog to Arri logC add the resolve Arri to rec709 LUT and you have a great starting point. Alexa Luts tend to be very good. Both technical and creative. Add it in the timeline.

I second that, very nice results, also impulz luts work good. Going from Slog to Slog2 is also an option. Couldn't figure out Filmconvert yet without a dedicated profile, but will keep trying. Aces was the trickiest by far, I'm still new to it but it seems overly complicated. The most pleasing results I have seen come from Macgregor but I haven't got a clue what his workflow is. If someone knows please share, it would be great to have a proven workflow example, start to finish.
