Neat Video is the best for noise reduction (but slow). Highly recommended. Very worth it for the money.
For the money Resolve Lite (free!) is the best color correction tool available, but it's not fast. Depending on what NLE you use the built-in tools should suffice, but colorista is fine. I'm still using Apple Color for the most part because it's free with FCP7, but it's not a great option with Resolve Lite now free.
FCPX color board mainly. Sometimes stock plug ins like film convert and Denver Riddle LUTS. Neat video is great but takes forever to render so I only use it if I have too.
All, Thanks for the feedback. I purchased colorista II and now I have a really stupid question. I have installed the software but I cannot find it anywhere, how do I open this within FCPX? I have searched the internet for the last hour an cannot find the answer.
I use Colorista 1 and Neat Video....but honestly I almost never use the NEAT plugin anymore as most of my footage with the C100 is immaculate. I only use the Neat plugin to salvage Canon XLh1 footage shot to a Samurai. It cleans up great! I do have Colorista 2 but haven't really gotten used to it yet. When on a deadline, I tend to stick to the tools I know.
