GH2 Coastal Black Winery - 9 months of Driftwood Settings

This project began last summer during the berry harvest. Wine pressing started in November. The winery received their own bottling machine in March 2012 - so I waited to film this part until it was all setup.Shot on quality 'driftwood' settings. The wine tasting shots were with Sedna AQ1, and Orion v4b. The harvesting/pressing shots were reQuainted 176 GOP1 and Spanmybitchup GOP1. Lighting was from some Lowel prolites, shop lights and a little 'Walli' light I found here on personal-view which made for a great hair light. The music was written and recorded into Logic 9.
Lenses were Super Tak 50mm, Tamron 17-50mm, and 14-140 Panny. Standard and Smooth used all at -2 (0 Sat)

I hope you enjoy it.
cheers

That was phenominal, great storytelling! I was a little apprehensive at first when I noticed it was over 4 minutes long, but I was immediately drawn in to the story and didn't notice the time at all. Very impressive work!

Very nice work. It does a great job of humanizing what would be just another brand in the store for most people. Anyone else start to salivate? lol

Yes I have to agree I was drawn in and started to root for them almost. It accomplished everything it should have. Again good work.

Thanks ErikTande. Cheers.

@loomis2
audio setup for interview was Zoom H1 with a lav from GiantSquid. I have come to appreciate this setup quite a bit.

Thanks for your kind words.
P.s. - their wine is great. I tried blueberry mead (honey wine) for the first time and love the stuff. For some reason it makes me feel like a character out of Beowolf when I'm drinking it. ;)

@gundar @lumis2
GiantSquid omni, mono, passive. I ordered it with the neutrik right angled gold plated end. http://www.giant-squid-audio-lab.com/gs/gs-mono.html
The lav comes with a metal alligator clip which I attached inside his shirt around the second top button. Further secured it with Rycote Undercovers so there wouldn't be any noise if he shifted around. You can see that he is quite animated, and I think the Undercovers helped as well. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/378922-REG/Rycote_065504_Undercover_Lavalier_Wind.html
Cheers.

Outstanding work here! A pleasure to watch and learn from. Just ordered one of those squid lavs - thanks for the info.
