Clouds at the speed of fast

I feel like all I ever post is clouds in timelapse, but sue me, I love how it looks!

Rain clouds were rolling in today, so I ran outside and shot this before anything started coming down (although it ended up just blowing right over and not raining).

I love how it looks like the clouds are just exploding upward... like a volcanic eruption.

Feel free to leave comments.

(Compression isn't the best, but the file size is tiny so I figured it's a fair trade-off, if anyone would like something of higher quality, I'll post something up)

Daddy likes..... Some of my favorite stuff. I think of first fell in love with time-lapse clouds watching "Koyaanisqatsi".

Haha, yeah I've been on a bit of Koyaanisqatsi kick lately which would probably explain the footage.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Good job, Bryan,
How much time did you spend to take the shoot? you shot all in realtime or using the timelapse mode? Wich camera did you use?
I,m working now in a project called CANARIAS TIMELAPSE obviosly maked with this tecnic. I'm using a sony EX 1 and a still photo camera for long shoots. I hope to post some examples here soon.

For this I used the DVX100 (original model, not the A or B), shot 24pa, shutter speed of 1/50 (off), and random ND/iris adjustments.

After that, I just sped it up in post. It was a windy day, and this was maybe 10-15 minutes of footage that I just sped up until I liked what I saw.

I have another example here:

Same methods, but this one was just randomly over maybe an hour, some shots being 5-10 minutes and one being around 20.

Let me know if you have any more questions!
