clips from my new short

The many months I've been behind the scenes on this site, I've noticed how good your work is. I hope my amateur short comes out as good as half the stuff being produced on this site.

What 35mm adapter and lens are you using and how much (total) did you pay for those tools?

How much did you pay for two girls kissing? O_o;

hmm.. looks pretty good. something bothers me about these 35 adapters though. sometimes the foreground stands out a little too much for my taste. It can be great, like how you used it, you wanted the focus on the females (I'm assuming), but does anyone else feel like sometimes you just want some more depth to the background? eithe way, great looking footage, coffee.

The great thing with these adapters is you have a lot of control over just that. It's a matter of which lense you use and what f/stop that lens is set at among other things.

Speaking of which, Coffee, what lens did you use to shoot that? It's great clip and not just because of the subject matter :) . You always drop good stuff on us. Keeps me inspired. Thanks.

Looks good. there is some serious barrel distortion on one of the clips though. The chick on the right is hot....I hope she's bi:)

ah, thanks for the reminder Mojo. I didn't really think about that before I spoke. Good call.

As of now, I get by just fine with the lens on the dvx and a few filters. Seems to give me the looks I want.

thanks guys. I'll keep the rest of the short under tight wraps until I'm done editing it and ready to release it, I don't want to give much away.... hehe

The adapter was the letus35 which is good for what I spent on it, $300. The lens is a Nikon 28mm and CC was done in FCP.

The DOF I wish was deeper at times but it's still way better then what I can get with just the DVX alone. That's all in my own personal opinion of course.

There is some barrel distortion in one of the clips but that was my fault and it'll be fixed in post as it's very minor, thank god it wasn't worst and I don't know how the hell I missed it while filming.

uh yeah does it have a story two sisters who kiss...oops almost midnite got to go and hoot and hollar

haha, thanks man! Just trying to keep up with you!

Kimko, Chris, araujofh: thank you. I'm happy with the look of it so far. Chris, just get the bare bones letus35... all this extra stuff that quyen is adding on to it just doesn't seem worth it to me.

yokelight, what more can I say other than to each his own...... Welcome to the forum,,,,,
