C300: Clip on Mattebox?

Not sure if this is the right place to put this in but since it is part of the C300 Mki setup I figured I would ask here. I have a mattebox that uses rails but I'm using two different sizes Cine Lens and trying to adjust the rails each time I switch lens is gong to be a bit of a pain. So I have been thinking maybe a clip on Mattebox? Anyone on here using those and if so which one that isn't going to kill you in the pocket book? Thanks

I would look into a Bright Tangerine or a Chroziel for your clip-on solutions. The other solution might be adding a spacer or expander to the end of your lenses to make all of them uniform to a standard backplate diameter (95mm, 110mm, 114mm, etc). Not sure which lenses you're using but Bright Tangerine makes threaded adapter rings to convert lenses to the appropriate front element size for their clamp-on matte box, there may be a solution for you there.

Dustin has a good point. I have been using a Chrosziel clip on for several years and it works well for me with grads etc. I use lens adapter rings and lens caps by
http://www.cordvision.com/ and they are great. This way I can snap the Chrosziel on and off quickly.

Petroff matte box is an overlooked option IMO. Petroff simplified the system to one size and moved production to Eastern Europe a few years ago.
I bought a used one some time back. Ridiculously low price for such a well made lightweight design that accepts up to 3 rotating stages (it comes with two). Accepts up to 4x6 filter holders.
I haven't felt the need to look for something better to replace it.
Petroff sells them direct online now. http://petroff.ws/products/matteboxes/

Unless I have ACs to mess with them, I hate matte boxes. They just slow things down but are necessary for more narrative type work. For documentaries, a nightmare. I sold off all of mine and the filters years ago. They do bring to mind why matched set primes work best with them.
