"CLIP" file missing in "CONTENTS" folder

Hi I am working with P2 footage in Final Cut Pro. I received a hard drive with all the footage from our shoot.

Opened FCP - File - Log and Transfer.
Opened up the folders (card 1, card 2, etc...)
Added all footage to browser no problem.

Well, I go back to finish transferring the last folder, card 3. I highlight "CONTENTS" and hit open. Nothing opens. Hmmm.

I open up the contents folder. All successful P2 footage that had transferred included 6 sub-folders within the "CONTENTS" folder:

-ICON
-VOICE
-AUDIO
-VIDEO
-CLIP
-PROXY

Well, in this particular "CONTENTS" folder, the "CLIP" folder is missing! How this happened I have no idea. I open up the "AUDIO" and "VIDEO" folders and see files with a .MXF that will not open by themselves.

What's going on here? Is that footage somehow completely lost? Is there a way to convert these .MXF files for editing within FCP?

A friend just mentioned Raylight For Mac. Is this the solution? Any other alternatives?

Thank you for your time!

HD LOG is an alternative. But yeah, without the CLIP folder, FCP will not import the footage. Even if you make one, there are clips in there that if they are missing, FCP won't read the footage. Raylight is a GREAT solution.
