Shooting on a GH13
Sandisk c10 ultra card but probably irrelevant.

So, somehow one of my clips got corrupted. Don't know if I accidentally yanked power on the camera, or what the error was caused by, but of course it was a long clip. All the data was there (file size was 1.4 GB) but it would not play in WMP or VLC.

So I downloaded the Panasonic avccam recovery software for the af-100 (I saw it in another thread one time) from here and ran it on my clip. Now it plays find in WMP and VLC, however when it imports into Premiere, it only comes in as audio. I then tried re-encoding it using handbrake, but the resulting file was full size (2.5 GB) but only played the first 10 seconds.

I'm guessing that this problem is probably not easily reconcilable at this point, but figured that I'd see if anyone had any suggestions.

Play it out the hdmi port and capture it. If you don't have HDMI capture you can buy an inexpensive (relatively) card or in a pinch you can output component and just record it.
A more complex option is to record a file of the same length, then use the header from the new file as a basis to reconstruct the header from the old file (working on a copy, of course).
Also try a different rendering program, like TMPGEnc.
