Client approval techniques

Does anyone have a better solution than this for client approval clips for the web.

EDIUS edit > Export to WMV (640x360) > Upload to private ftp > send client link > client opens link and WMP streams file.

This works okay for me, but I wondered if there was another more streamlined interface/programme for doing this (along the lines of premiere 2.0s PDF output).

Also, has anyone experimented with polished web based solutions for this?
