Howdy. I recently got a dvx100b. I'm going to be using imovie(since I'm new) for now. I was looking at Larry R's sticky post on good scene settings. The info is great but they mostly call for the 24p setting. Will it be worthwhile to try these scene settings if I'm editing with such a basic editing program that supposedly can't edit 24p footage??????????????????????????????????? thanx:Drogar-Angry(DBG):
 
All 24p footage on the DVX has an added pull down and the footage is recorded at 29.97. iMovie can edit the footage as 29.97; it just can't remove the pull down to edit at 23.976.

If you are going to use a 24p setting, I'd use the regular 24p rather than the advanced (24pA). You'll be fine editing the footage in iMovie... just remember that there will be interlaced frames due to the pull down.
