clear filter

does anyone use a clear filter to keep their lens clean and just clean the filter when it becomes dirty. if so, where did you buy the filter at?

Yes. I really don't think that leaving that expensive glass exposed to the elements is a good idea. I bought a Tiffen kit which included clear, circ polar and UV. I generally leave whichever one I've used on the camera until I need to change it. When I change, I thoroughly clean the one going on.

I got one from Best Buy, 72mm UV...good enough to protect the lens if nothing else... and about $17-18.00
