CKB-MH01 LCD Monitor VF Hood for F3 Now Available ... a bit pricey though ...

Hmm, LKooks like my Small HD EVF might have been a waste of money. well better than to have been screwed by the SLog update.
That thing looks pretty good.
Can it go down also for looking at a camera that is higher than you?

IMHO I don't think the SmallHD DP4 is a waist of money, the price difference between the Sony viewfinder hood and SmallHD DP4 with EVF hood is a bit over $100.00, with the new upgrade focus assist+ obtaining critical focus couldn't be easier. False Color on the DP4 works almost as well as Zebras on the F3 and being able to mount the DP4 forward of the camera body obtaining camera balance while on the shoulder is a plus. Even if the Sony viewfinder hood was included with the camera I would have made the DP4 purchase. The DP4 is not perfect (no SDI, no adjustable diopter, 800x480 resolution) but for now it will do. The best point I could make for SmallHD is they keep trying to improve their product with the recent release of their new eye-cup and the new 1.2 software update, and good customer service.

And to add: that plastic loupe is overpriced at least as much as s-log was... And it looks like it does not fit over Berkey plate on the top... Deal breaker for me even if they slash the price. That plate is permanently attached to my F3...
