Cinetactics Matteblox

I am interested in purchasing a matte box as my next shoot is 90% outdoors and was curious if anyone has any experience with the Cinetactics Mattleblox and if they like it. It seems to be less money than most other Matte boxes and also seems like it may be lighter.

I'll be using it with a HMC150 and a Letus35 adapter so I do I need a threaded adapter and a step up ring or just a step up ring? Also, if I have a UV filter on all of my lenses do I need get a filter holder? Also, has anyone used the Screen Hoodie and found it useful? When filming outside I usually just throw a towel over my head and the LCD screen or monitor, but this looks like it could replace the need for that.

Sorry if this is the wrong section to post this in, but I wasn’t sure where this should be posted. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have one. I have used it maybe twice, in situations where carrying my full mattebox was just not practical due to space limitations. So I brought a couple of 4x4 filters that I thought I would need and the Matteblox. It works but is not in any way shape or form a tool I would use as a substitute on a regular basis for a proper matte box. I suggest you keep an eye on the Marketplace for a used mattebox. Just my 2 cents...
