Cinemek's Hitchcock Storyboard Composer for iPhone

Broke down

Broke down

Like many others, I've been waiting for Apple to put a camera in the Touch. I've been kicking around the idea of getting an iPhone JUST to use Storyboard Composer! Yesterday I finally broke down and bought a Touch. I will use my little Point-and-shoot camera to scout locations and take pictures and import them into the Touch to use Storyboard Composer. I'm sure now that I have bought the Touch, Apple will announce they are finally releasing the version with a camera :)

If a desktop version of Composer comes along, I will be first in line to purchase. When Apple announces a new iPod Touch with camera, I will be first in line to throw my cameraless version at them out of frustration :)

And I have no interest in the new "iPod Touch 'JUMBO'" that Apple has cleverly named after a feminine hygiene product and failed to include a camera in as well.

Android version is really needed!
Hitchcock is tempting, but not enough to buy an Iphone instead of Android-phone

Hey, so the new Touch is here, and it has a still camera! Does that mean Hitchcock will work on it now? What is happening with Hitchcock anyway?

Oh-oh, don't tell me Hitchcock is dead? Wow. Quick turnover in the app world. RIP :(

Woohoo! I'm selling my 3rd gen iPod Touch and getting the new one just for Hitchcock :D FINALLY Apple adds a freaking camera!

DeGrey, I think Hitchcock is dead - it doesn't work on OS 4 and up from what I read - see the comments on the video here:

"It doesn't work on iOS 4.0. It crashes every time I try to load a picture.

"Has anyone else had issues when trying to launch Hitchcock with the new iPhone 4.0 OS?
Mine will no longer launch at all.

And on their website there's been no news since about March 2010... a long promised new version failed to materialize.

I hope I'm wrong. I was really looking forward to this. If I'm wrong, maybe JH can come here and let us know what the scoop is.

Hmm. It works for me under OS 4. I've been using it since OS 4 came out without problem. OS 4 of course has introduced a myriad of other problems but not with Composer at least. It's just kind of a pain having to take pictures on my camera and transfer them to the iPod to use StoryBoard Composer.

If there were an Android version, I wouldn't even have to mess with Apple. The more I use Apple products, the more I wish I didn't.

The app is alive and well. We have since released the QuickTime export update which for a few days caused some grief, but that has been fixed. There were a only a few small bugs with the ios4 update but the last of them will be fixed by next week. As always, try it out, if you don't find it usefull, return it. We are very excited about the iPod touch release and will be optimizing the next update for the camera and retna display. Also iPad app with a boatload of new features is in the pipe.

Excellent news! I'm definitely buying the new Touch, so this is very welcome. Soon you'll have a new customer!

what does the low rez still camera they are putting in the touch mean for this app? i assume it still works great on screen but print outs are going to look junky.

Finally I will be able to buy this app since I was not going to buy an iphone... the touch with a camera has been a long time coming.

Actually the resolution is still within the sizes we use. We down res the images taken on the iPhone anyhow.

can we get a BUMP for the Android version?! With all the new android 3.0 tablets out, dslr controllers etc, i've been eagerly waiting... any updates ?
