LOL James. I agree and have a love/hate relationship with all my cameras. It's definitely best to stay camera agnostic even when heavily invested in system or two.
It's also funny you mention the DVX100 - someone just sent me some location pics of me with mine from nearly 20 years ago. She was lamenting the days when we traveled with a couple of bags of kit rather than a couple of hundred kilos. With the increasingly disposable nature on video these days I'm seriously considering a return to that mentality...
Haha, thanks for taking it all in stride! I think on the initial C5002 or C3003 thread I was a bit too pasisionately nonplussed. But i was viewing it more from a single cam film maker perspective. Once you and Cleremond began using them in tandem with the R5, a whole different value and function opened up, and well, that is the fun of learning. I found myself almost envious of you two owning such a combo. As well as the keen eye to recognize the potential for your respective disciplines. and the proof is really in the results of your work, always sublime.
Oh, I just ran a few seconds of miniDV through the old DVX100 yesterday, decided to see how it compared to the cellphone in low light. I gotta still give it the nod on making a very mojo camera. After watching 200hrs of AG-DVC30 footage this past month, the DVX100 was certainly the king by comparison.
