"Cineform HDLink" Pulldown Removal

Hello,
Greenhorn here so be gentle. First off I have never made a video in my life but I Have this GH1 and have been shooting some video in 1080P mode using the (From what I have read) suggested 1/40 shutter speed setting. So today I sat down and tried to start making something of this footage. I downloaded and installed trial versions of NeoScene and Sony Vegas which should do the trick on my PC from what I've read. First I opened NeoScene but all I have is the "HDLink" program. So I selected the MTS files and the under "Prefs" I don't see anything about pull down removal like I saw in the Luminous Landscape article about the GH1 and on other sites. I changed the quality to high and selected "Deinterlace" and "I-Frames only". Then I hit convert. I end up with a big AVI file. My question is does the new AVI file now have the pulldown removed? Am I on the right track so far? Also, when I get all these clips in Sony Vegas and end up with a final product will it still be 1080P? Sony Vegas....Ugh....that's another post :) (Doesn't seem to be among the most intuitive of programs to learn...) My apologies for the elementary level question.

I sure hope I'm doing something wrong.....I have a clip I converted this way and just watching it in Windows Media Player there are visible trails of footage I have that is just people walking! And the camera was even on a tripod! It reminds me of the mouse trails you can turn on for you mouse pointer on a PC....Is 24 FPS really this bad? I thought I might have problems with 24FPS shooting something really fast like a race car or something...But this is crazy...Hopefully I am doing something wrong here.

do NOT select "deinterlace",...select "Convert to 24p" this is the pulldown removal tool in HDLink...i know, it's a bit misleading, because of the GH1's implementation of 24p/60i ...and according to David Newman from Cineform, the "I-frame" option is the same as what WAS "Smart Rendering" in previous versions, which is specifically for Sony Vegas users. if you Edit in Vegas(which you do), enable this option, as with Cineform, it's nothing more than a "naming issue"

in fact, RainDrop...lemme know if your converted files include audio in the version you're using...i upgraded to v1.6 build 140, but i get no audio in Vegas, so before i send in a bug report, i want to know if you're having a problem as well. a couple of users on the dvinfo.net forum have had this problem...

Thanks guys for the advice. I converted some footage with the "Convert to 24P" option selected and tried one with the "I-Frames" option selected and one without. Both look way better than my original attempts, though I can't tell a difference between the two new versions. I do get sound in Sony Vegas. I have some footage where I walk past the camera on a tripod, it's really hard to follow my motion without getting dizzy as I get close and pass by the camera.....Honestly it looks worse (To me) than the footage I have shot with a ZS3.....I think 720/60FPS may be for me... :(
