Cinedeck extrême Hi-Brite

I have the opportunity to pick up one of these extremely cheap (around $2500), however seeing that it is a 2-3 years old in terms of technology just wondered how it measured up to more recent devices from all the familiar players like AJA, Atomos, Sound Devices, etc. Might even be a bit overkill or too cumbersome by comparison...

Usage would be with a Sony F3 or the Canon C100/300/500 style units.

People's thoughts who have some experience with the unit?
 
For $2500, you'd be silly not to buy it, even to turn around and sell it. They retail with hi brite for $9K.

Even though it is a couple of yrs old, they are constantly adding new editions to the software. They update very frequently.

How does it compare, its the cadillac, you really can't compare it to the ones you mentioned.

It is a larger unit, and can be power hungry,

BUT, its a 4:4:4 dual link/3G/hdmi recorder, with Cineform, Prores, Dnxhd, imx, xdcam, etc... what more are you looking for.
