Cinedeck 422 question

Has anyone used a cinedeck with a F3, in 422 mode?

I have been trying to get the signal out of the "A" HD sdi of the camera.

I have the "dual link and gamma select" on 1.5G YPbPr422 & video on the camera.

And of course can get a signal out of the camera to an external monitor, but cannot get a signal on the cinedeck.

I tried the cinedeck with my pdw-700 and I can get a signal in, but unfortunately, can't figure it out with the F3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Ryan

Haven't used the camera with that deck. But... Are you using S-Log? Because, if you aren't, the regular SDI port puts out 422.

The dual link 422 selection is necessary if you're trying to externally record 60p. But otherwise, the standard SDI port works fine for video mode 422.

Thanks for the reply.

I am just trying to get the cinedeck to pick up some sort of signal from the camera.

I've tried the regular sdi out, and the "A" as mentioned.

Camera doesn't have the S-LOG yet (its on order).

I just cannot seem to get the cinedeck to pick up any signal from the F3, from either output, but as I say from my pdw-700, it recognizes it , no problem..

Just an update for anyone using the cinedeck, turns out I didn't have the "PSF" setting on, on the cinedeck , doh.

HD SDI "A" is working great. Now awaiting the SLOG upgrade.

So can you record 4:2:2 to the Cinedeck via a single link HD-SDI cable? Also will the Cinedeck record 720 30p footage over-cranked at 60fps?

Yes on the single link (a) hd-sdi out. I will check on the 720, out of town at the present moment.
