Choppiness is annoying in my wedding footage

My workflow is:
CF to OMC scratch drive
Convert to Prores 422 via Mpeg streamclip
Edit in FCP7
Export to Quicktime mp4 in Mpeg streamclip
Upload to youtube

The footage looks and flows great on my Macbook when played back from the scratch drive, however the playback on youtube looks very choppy. I'd really like to solve this somehow- any help would be appreciated. This clip is just a short sample of random clips.

Hi! I didn't notice any choppiness, nor did another "third-party" tester who was just watching it without having the question posed first.

The Lord only knows what YouTube does to your videos.

I wonder if what you're noticing is the refresh (?) rates on browser based video playback.

I have yet to see Youtube and Vimeo deliver truly smooth playback. Yes, it is close, but it chokes sometimes. That is what makes Vimeo's "download original file" option so useful.

Some people notice it, others don't. I worked with a guy who had been doing video longer than me and knew After Effects backwards and forwards, so he is pretty familiar with frame rates. But even he couldn't see 1080p trailers from the Apple website dropping frames on our Macbook Pros when there was a ton of action. I notice it instantly.

I notice it all the time. I can see it in this video. I call it The 15 fps Syndrome. I can't stand it.

The only thing I noticed was half screen white flashes in some of the scenes. Is that what you're referring to? I haven't seen that before, but I can definitely see it being annoying..

Otherwise, the footage looks good!

I know exactly how you feel. All my videos play smoothly and look great inside of Final Cut, but as soon as it goes out to quicktime or on vimeo it looks like I shot it with a much higher shutterspeed.

Hm, actually now that I'm reviewing it, I can see some of the choppiness that you guys are talking about. Why is that - what's going on?

I did not notice it in OP's youtube video however...maybe I should re-watch it.

There are so many options when exporting to quicktime and I've played around with them and I feel like every little alteration in these options yields slightly different results and by the tenth test export you get frustrated and confused. At least I do!
