Chinese 2K RAW S35 Cinema Camera, 8000 dollars

It's much easier for a chinese to learn English than for an european or american to learn chinese, japanese, etc.
English is studied pretty much in all China.
I'm pretty sure they know enough English to post on a forum.

This is fabulously uninformed conjecture, to say the least. Anyway, why would any camera manufacturer be obligated to respond and post on this forum, much less a Chinese one.

All I care about is it could be a great cam if it ever gets to market.

The Chinese are definitely going to get something to market. They are good at that.

hey not everyone needs to know english, they work faster in chinese then its good, it doesnt look pro when they struggle with english but its not meant to look good, its just for info so chill people.
*I think cam looks "ugly" cause it has rounded corners, it should look like red, big black brick.

From the experience of the Red camera forum discussion, now I prefer much more the traditional approach of announcing the product when it is ready. How many including me have been waiting and speculating for years on these camera. How much have I been reading, posting even dreaming of a camera that I will not be able to afford because in the end it will cost two to three times more than it was announced. How many hours and days of my life, I will not be able to reclaim. Some might say they prefer this approach but after the never to be scarlet s35 experience, I prefer a camera just popping out. Imagine, if this one takes 2 years to come out with many announcement, then delays and further delays, how much time will you loose here.

Can´t believe that anyone is really concerned with the "design".
What are you planing to do? Showing a picture of the camera in the upper left corner of your footage all the time?

If it does what they claim at this price point, I could not care less about "design-issues".

I couldn't agree more. In fact...(as I already mentioned), I ***HOPE*** it stays like it is so they don't waste time on what it looks like. GET THIS THING TO MARKET!!! Make sure the RAW flow works. That's my thinking....

I agree as well. And I actually don't think it is that bad looking, I kinda like it, haha

I could be hot pink with little yellow daisies painted on the side for all I care... will it do what it's advertised to do?

:cheesy:... absolutely brilliant!

This is great, I wish these guys all the best in developing and bringing to market a kick ass cam that gives us affordable cinema. Just add 60p or even 120p, low latency CMOS readout, big pixels and it's done.

Design is very important....Were would Apple be today without it's products with astonishing design? There will come one day when camera manufacturers will focus on design more than functionality(just like Apple).

Or even Bang and Olufsen

Design before substance

I don't care if a cam looks like a a breeze block with a bottle on the front so long as it delivers.
