Nice. It says HD above your clip, how's that? The image looks really good for the XL2, I used to have one and I'm seriously considering going back to it. I sure would like to know how you got "HD" out of it though. You didn't mention using Instant HD or anything and the XL2 doesn't do HD. Very encouraging though. I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on an A1 since they are priced the same at B&H but I really like the feel of the XL2. Thanks for the clip.
 
The XL2 is a much better camera than the XL1...

As for the film, I agree, the images are great, I also shoot with an XL2. What type of post did you do on the footage?

Sound is terrible though. Sounds like you used the onboard mic for most of the shots.

Some of the cuts, like the girls snorting were strange and not sure why you chose to fast forward them as they really didn't fit in much. Cuts seemed to be just hap-hazzard. If you are going to speed things up, don't do it while someone it talking, it just looks bad.

The acting was pretty weak and the story seemed a bit off. Like 3 girls snorted so much coke in one night that its going to get everyone killed, yet they are all perfectly normal today?

Blood scenes seemed very very fake to me.

Honestly, I think the acting and the sound would be enough for me to get bored watching it, but man, those images look great in most scenes... :) Great job on the camera work, great job on the styling other than the fast motion stuff. The blood seems that it should be a bit darker and almost looks like you AE'd it in. If so then try making it darker and see if it looks better.

I'd personally do away with the fast motion stuff completely as it looks like its just there because it can be with no real purpose.

Sorry for the bashing, and it's just my 2 cents. I'm honestly very impressed with the images though. They are very impressive...

I use Instant HD just for posting on Vimeo. It just look better doing it that way for me.

I use Premiere for editing and After Effects and Magic Bullet Looks for CC and Color Grading.
