Cheapo Nikon adapter vs. Novoflex Nikon adapter

I just got my Tamron 17-50 and while this cheapo Nikon adapter works well, the lens has a little play (ok, no deal breaker), there's light leak on the release button (hmm, it's starting to get weird, but gaffer tape is my friend) but when the lens wobble a bit on the mount the aperture changes a bit (bleh).

So, is the Novoflex Nikon adapter for M43 rock solid? I'd really hate to purchase this pricey adapter to found out it has the same problems as the cheapo ones. So I'm requesting some feedback.

Thank you all!

My cheap adapter has some flange issue. The lens is too close to the body, making making the infinite focus closet than it should be.

I've been using the Novoflex adapter of the af100 for almost 8 months now and it's fantastic. I would definitely buy it again if I was looking for an adaptor. I must say I have no expeience with the cheaper adapters so I can't compare the Novoflex to them.

I had a fotodiox g adaptor which had lots of play - changed to novoflex and its been rock solid, and the aperture adjustment is much smoother - different level of quality completely

I got the cheap one and after a lot of use it looks like it bent and the image is no longer sharp (tokina 11-16). I don't know how the novoflex would be more durable, but maybe it is.

I think I will follow you and spend the money for a good adapter. Mine is just bad.

While I don´t have a Novoflex adapter, I can tell you, that Novoflex is king in build quality. Everything I ever touched in camera stores was rocksolid. I have a mini tripod with ball head from Novoflex, you know, like the cheap ones made from plastic which you sometimes get as a give away, but just a bit bigger. With screw on top and a cold shoe adapter to screw onto it. Even that little one is simply amazing, as nothing moves or acts up once you tighten the ballhead just a bit.

And, when I let a friend use it for a shoot it came back with only two legs (they´re stick-in legs). I contacted Novoflex and they quickly replied that I should send them a letter with some stamps in it (about 3,50 € worth I believe) and two days later I got a replacement leg.
