GH3 Cheapo GH3 Battery Working Great So Far...

Does that mean the GH3 reports the remaining battery life for them? That was the big issue I had with the 3rd party batteries for the GH2.

same here. I got mine, i think, on ebay. I got 2 of them. They work great! I keep the cheapo in the grip and the lumix one in the cam.

Not GH3 specific but I've been using cheapo batteries in Sony Cameras (NP-F style) for more than 7 years without issues. About to pick up a few for my new GH3. Sorry Panasonic, I don't feel like succumbing to your extortionate prices.
People and companies will scare monger about the possibility of destroying your camera with the cheaper batteries but this is simply not the case.

I bought 2 cheapies for my 7D for about 1/3 the price and they last about about 1/3 as long as the canons. As a matter of fact I just returned a Synergy Battery for Panasonic my HMC150 Camcorder. It looked identicle but wouldn't fit for some reason.
I'd be interested to hear how these batteries hold up and how long the charge lasts. I just got my GH3 today in the mail! Oh yeah!!!

I received my new GH3 on Friday and am amazed how long the stock battery is lasting. I must have a couple hours of footage and am at about fifty percent. I ordered the "Power2000 PODMWBLF19E DMW-BLF19E Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.2V, 2100mAh)" from B&H for $14 dollars. The panasonic is $80 so even if it lasts almost as long it'll be worth it..

The GH3 battery seems to last twice as long when shooting with non-electronic lenses. I haven't run a full test, but it would not surprise me if a fully charged battery lasts 4+ hours with old manual lenses.

I thought about getting some of these but fearing some of the issues with the 3rd party batteries for the GH2 I decided to buy a Panasonic battery.

I now have two and am amazed how long they run. I can fully charge the first before the second one gets used up so basically as long as I can use my charger I should only need two batteries. I may get one of these third party batteries now to have an extra spare in those situations where I cannot use my charger.

Yep, just bought the same battery from B&H and am approaching my 3rd hour so I am sold, especially considering it only costs 14.95 compared to Panasonics 80.
