Cheapest way to view DVCpro HD quicktimes?

How can I view .mov files that FCP created from the original .mxf files on a different Mac without FCP? Is there any way to do it without re-encoding everything again? A way to get that codec for Quicktime?

Or buy Final Cut Express? I need a cheap option.

Me thinks you need FCP or FCE to view DVCPRO HD.

No, only FCP 4.5 or later.

I think there's a program from MXF4QT which will do it too.

No FCE. It is limited to HDV, DV, and AVCHD.

Apple supplies the codecs with FCP, as Barry observes, and there is MXF4QT and one other paid program on the Mac.

Wish it were a universal trans platform codec.
