Cheapest Price

I'm thinking about it. BUT, if I get one that has less than 100 hours on it, would that be OK? I just don't want to spend $3K on a camera that's been out for a couple of years.

Those are all gray market cameras. If you DO end up getting a camera, you'll be bombarded with upgrade options. And even then, it'll probably take a month to get to you and on top of that you don't get a warranty.

From what I gather about zoomania, they do not ship greymarket cameras...although they are known to force the "travel package" down your throat, nonetheless you can still come out on top...an hvx200 with a travel package is 3800...not bad, and some say that they have pulled it off without the travel package...http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Zoommania

srproductions, it doesn't matter if you buy a camera that's been out for a few years. The DVX100B isn't brand new, and people are buying it every day. If a 3 year old camera has all the features you need to make your movies(or bath/shower with like others have said) then there's no reason to wait for other cameras to come out. Think about everything you want a camera to have for whatever you are doing, and buy it.

I've seen DVX100A cameras with low hours just because they were used as back up cameras. There's deals out there to be had, you just gotta keep the search going.

Good luck.

Also, those websites you listed above are SCARY.

Yeah buy from an authorized reseller. And buy the one that suits your needs - the image isnt going to get any worse in the next 5 years. Sure they're will be new technology out but the good ol dvx will still give a good picture. Worry less about the technology and more about what you are going to shoot. The camera is worthless without something pretty in front of it and someone competent behind it. If you have talent and a skilled operator many times it really doesnt matter what you put in the middle :)

greymarket cameras are cameras from other countries brought over here, generally without warranty, and much cheaper...generally companies selling greymarket cameras are very shady and charge you hundreds of dollars for shipping etc...

Hi! Sorry to bother you all. If anyone can help me regarding DVX100B, but here in Europe. I'm from Slovenia and can't find it here, if you can help me with some links or stores in Austria or Germany. Thanks.

I heard today that a earthquake in Japan a few weeks ago shut the plant down. No HVX's or DVX's for awhile. Good luck finding one.
