Who out there has the best deal on 4GB p2 cards ? I'm looking to get another one for jobs - I worked 24 hours over the weekend on a varicam shoot and had to unload to a powerbook 40+ times throughout the day - the varicam shooter was constantly making fun of me - then I showed him the footage ... :love4: Anyway, yea, I need another card, you really need 2 cards with this camera to make it worthwhile - for run and gun solo stuff its alright, but if yer gettin paid, you needz two -

i remember hearing someone say that they found them for something like $560 a little while ago - on a side note, should I wait until the summer ? I have a feeling that they're gonna drop in price again

:violent5:

Damnit ! Full Compass said they won't have the 4GB in until begining of April sometime - and with shipping costs, they will be $594

rgd, try luis acosta over at fullcompass. he told me middle of march but i ended up receiving a 4gig the last day in feb. good thing is he didn't charge my card until it shipped enabling me to cancel if i chose to(before it ships). so maybe you can do that while searching at other places.

by the way, drove down to avs to pick up the hvx...thought it would look like evs...more like an office atmosphere?!

Actually, if you had 3, you could have 2 in the camera recording, while a PA is downloading the 3rd (and rotate).

Two is the bare minimum. I know people are tempted to try to get by on one, but -- the P2 cards are like legs. Hopping on one leg may get you around for a brief while, but with two legs you can walk and run and jog and dance...

You have to have at least two. Three is best. But two's the minimum anyone should consider.

We have recently obtained better qty pricing from Panasonic on these, and are currently selling 4g P2 cards for $515/each, and 8g for $1331.00/each.

We have them both in stock.

Please call or email me if you wish to discuss this further (800-356-5844 x 1152, or tallrd@fullcompass.com).

Thanks.
