GH3 Cheaper alternative to Novoflex Adapters, but same build quality?

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for a new Minolta MD/MC to m43 adapter, I already have a "Pixco" Chinese one and have found it to be loose, it wiggles too much when using a follow focus, I've tried tightening the screws with no avail.

I am aware of Novoflex adapters and have read a lot of good reviews about them in terms of precision, but the price tag of $200 kinda bothers me considering I bought 3 mint condition Minolta Rokkor lenses for the same amount.

Any new manufacturers out there that I'm not aware of? I found this; http://kiwifotos.com/uploads/2013212044093142.jpg ... Looks like a different design then the one I have.

Thanks in advance!

I have a Pixco PK (pentax) mount and found with two of my lenses the lens sits loose, wiggles back and forth. At first it didn't bother me cause the one lens is 500mm Mirror. I then got a nice Takumar SMC 28mm, and that wiggled bad. I looked at the Pixco adapter, and on all three lips (the Minolta should be the same), on the inner faces, there is a split machined into that lip which pretty much holds the lens lips fast. I gently and carefully forced a flat head screwdriver into that slit to bend it open, now my lenses sit a bit tight actually, more difficult to (dis)mount. Will send you a pic if I can to show you what I mean. Not sure if the Minolta mount adapter has the same slits, but logic tells me it does merely due to manufacture - but stand to be corrected.

Thanks for the reply Inprogress.

I do see the slits you mention, but I am a little weary to expand them with a screwdriver, it seems difficult to gauge how much to widen them.

simple answer, "a little bit at a time." I have a number of the less expensive Fotodiox and Rainbow adapters with similar build. Haven't mucked one up yet.
