Cheaper alternative to Captain Stubling

Does anyone know of a rig similar to the Redrock Captain Stubling - handheld w/ rails and follow focus. I shoot a lot of club stuff and that's pretty much exactly what I need - unfortunately it's about double what I have to spend. I've searched and searched and the closest setup I can find in my price range is the Ikan Fly Deluxe w/ maybe a Dfocus or the Indisystems FF. This would be pretty close however the Ikan's handles are fixed and that's is one of the appealing features of the Redrock - the adjustable grips. If anyone knows of something similar or has suggestions as far as individual components that would make up a similar rig it would be a big help. Thanks in advance.
 
i dont know how the heck people operate with those stupid configurations...muchless spend that much $$ on it. Do urself a favour and check this out CPM rigs...coupled with a Dfocus and you should be good.

personally i'm going for the shoulder mount kit....not the expensive one they have(sidewinder)...the one for $469. anyway take a look around that site. they have alot to choose from.
 
I've actually used a halo rig for while as well as a monopod and they both work well for what I do but no FF. I've emailed Steve at cpmfilmtools.com and they have a rig similar to the CS coming out in the next cpl weeks. So yeah, I was actually thinking that and a D-focus would do the trick. Thanks.
 
Just ordered a rig from Chris at Express35.com - I emailed and explained what I was looking for and he responded right away and built me pretty much the exact configuration I was looking for. I also exchanged emails w/ Steve from CPMfilmtools and he's currently working on a new rig/parts that can be assembled in a similar way. I'll do a review of the Express35 rig when I get it.
