Hi Guys,

I am searching a Wireless Solution to transmit the Video from my Canon 7D to a HDMI Monitor or Laptop. Which Brand and Model would you suggest? The Terratek Cube HD is definitly tooo expensive for me.

For any cheap solution and links I would appriciate.

Thank you.

There are two options I know of:

Brite-View's 3 different HDMI transmitter units (AirSync is really popular)
Asus WiCast HDMI Transmitter/Receiver

I ordered the latter from Macmall (because it was the cheapest), but the item has apparently been in such a high demand that retailers are having a hard time keeping them in stock.

I've heard nothing but good things about both units when used with field monitors. There are even a couple reviews on the AirSync from DVXusers.

Part of the reason the Terradek is so expensive is because it is HD-SDI (if I remember correctly) and handles h.264 better, or something. It's also meant for professional video productions, whereas the Brite-View and Asus products are meant for your XBOX or laptop.

If you're not going to read the entire op, then don't bother posting. The arrow isn't in the price range he indicated.

I did read the post. The OP did not indicate a price range. I consider the Paralinx Arrow a better option and a low cost solution at $895.
Who are you to dictate whether I can post or not.

it stands to reason that if the cube, which is in the 2000+ range is "definitly tooo expensive" then the arrow which is 1199 (not 895), is not in the ballpark either for the op. you were correct in the post that you now seem to have deleted, that the arrow is better in many aspects, but that isn't very relevant if it's not in the price range he can afford. what's low cost to you isn't going to be low cost to everyone, you need to keep that in mind. I had a similar search that the OP is having, and yes, the arrow is about the lowest cost production level product that's out there, otherwise, it's consumer models, which as midifilm mentioned, the nyrius is a good option, that's undoubtedly low cost, and good quality considering its consumer nature.

and who am i? another user who is always looking to keep forums as helpful as they can be, and i am in no way a dictator of postings, it's up to you whether to be thoughtful in your postings.

cheerios,
