Cheap screw-on wide angle??

Anyone use these from ebay??

I have a shot I need for an upcoming project, and my 28mm is not wide enough to achieve what I'm after... and I don't have the budget to purchase an expensive wide lens (especially for one quick shot).

I'm wondering which one of the cheap ebay adapters would get me the widest possible WITHOUT A VIGNETTE. I understand I'll be putting cheap glass on my camera, but unless I can find someone local to borrow a lens from (which may still pan out), this will be my only option.

Anyone??

Why not just rent the expsensive glass you speak of, that way you get exactly what you need for when you need it, at a fraction of the cost of owning one. Not as great as owning one, but you do get to use it.

I've heard nothing but great things about this place, not to mention its fairly cheap for insured weekly rentals. HERE

Also here is another one

Brilliant! I can't BELIEVE I didn't think of renting. Monday's are my hangover relief day...

Problem solved.

Would still be interested in any comments on the cheap ebay lenses, though. I bought a macro kit for a DVX years ago, and it produced a really sweet, sharp image. I couldn't believe how sharp it was...

Props to J. Odoms for the links
