Hey everyone,

I'm at a bit of a loss. I'm looking into this lens for use on our Canon C100:
28 F2.8 VIVITAR MC FD BL (49) 35MM SLR MANUAL FOCUS WIDE ANGLE LENS (http://www.keh.com/camera/Canon-Man...ocal-Length-Lenses/1/sku-CA080090030660?r=FE#)

I've read some threads cautioning that some lenses can damage the mirror on certain cameras. Any thoughts on whether this one might harm the mirror of the C100?

Also, am I correct in looking for a Pentax M42 Adapter for this particular lens? If not, what adapter would you all recommend?

Basically I'm looking to get an inexpensive wide angle lens for the C100. Would any of you have a different suggestion?

Thanks so much in advance for your thoughts!

The lens you've linked to is for a Canon FD mount vivitar, not an m42 mount one.

Here's a very similar lens in Nikon mount, which could be adapted easily to your camera.

I'd recommend throwing in a bit more and getting something like the Nikon Series E 28mm 2.8, or some brand. A takumar, Olympus Zuiko, etc

all are pretty cheap, but I think would be a better purchase long term.
