GH3 Cheap camera to pair with GH3 for short film?

Started on my first short film recently on a gh3. Have a friend who wants to grab a cheap camera to help out with shooting etc. Besides another gh3, what is a good cheap camera to recc so we could easily match up in post? I have been shooting in mov. How would a gh2 or even gh1 work? Limited budget
 
My thoughts..... Save the money and shoot your film with a single camera. There are many other areas where your friend can be useful in contributing to your film's success rather than adding a second camera into the mix.
 
The gh2 looks pretty different. Most notably, it has more contrast even with everything dialed down, but color is also different. All of this can be adjusted, but I can always still spot the difference. Regardless of what your friend wants to do, I wouldn't allow a different looking camera than my A-cam on my movie unless it was needed. You haven't yet stated why it's needed, just that your friend wants to buy a cheap camera to help.
 
A used GH3 is pretty darn cheap now. Not sure you would want to go any cheaper than that. I just sold my GH3 to Amazon to use the funds for other gear. Nothing wrong with buying used if your friend is on a budget. As long as you buy from a decent place like KEH or B&H you know the camera will function correctly. This will give you the most bang for the buck and nothing matches a GH3 better than another GH3.
